This report presents a snapshot of the operational and financial implications of Covid-19 on India’s nonprofits. It is based on interviews conducted with 50 nonprofit leaders between April and May 2020.
The report highlights the need for nonprofits to re-strategize in a tightening funding landscape, upgrade digital technologies to accommodate new ways of working, and improve their reach via social media. The report also spotlights how the philanthropy ecosystem—both national and international—can best support nonprofits in the short, medium and long term by offering more flexible financing in a post-Covid world and helping strengthen networks.
