Position Summary
CAPS is seeking a full-time Communications Associate based in Hong Kong to support the delivery of our communications strategy . This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented communicator and excellent writer capable of multitasking and connecting the dots within a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
Operating within a lean, collaborative team, the role offers distinct opportunities for professional growth across corporate communications, digital transformation, and strategic storytelling, while delivering direct and visible impact on Asian philanthropy initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Communications & Social Media
- Coordinate closely with the Research Team and Executive Director to write, curate, edit, and deliver the bi-monthly CAPS newsletter on digital platforms;
- Oversee CAPS’ social media presence, generate high quality content; reviewing and updating of published posts as well as managing planning, scheduling, and driving engagement;
- Provide graphic design support to create visually compelling social media assets and collaterals using Canva or other design tools;
- Assist with press outreach, track media coverage, press mentions, and speaking opportunities for CAPS thought leaders;
- Support special projects such as strategic campaigns.
Website & CRM
- Perform day-to-day upkeeping and copy editing of the CAPS website, publishing reports and press releases, refreshing pages, and ensuring forms function correctly;
- Support system administration for CRM database, perform regular data updates, and assist in system optimization to improve operational workflows.
Reporting & Administrative Support
- Manage communications workflows and calendars; coordinating with team members to meet publication objectives;
- Support the compilation of monthly communications reports for media, speaking engagements and digital performance;
- Provide hands-on support and administrative logistics for events, workshops, and convenings;
- Other ad-hoc communications or administrative support as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business administration, public relations, journalism or related professional areas;
- 2+ years of experience in marketing, communications, journalism or related fields;
- Native proficiency in English with superb writing skills. Ability to work in one or more other Asian languages is highly desirable;
- Proficiency, experience and willingness to learn how to work with digital tools and platforms including LinkedIn, Canva, Adobe, MailChimp, Wordpress, CRM, and Microsoft Office;
- Interest in exploring how AI can support communications and other organizational work;
- Strong organizational and project management skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines;
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively work across different cultures, working styles and regional contexts.
