Commissioned Research
For organizations seeking to drive conversations in the field or engage in the policy discussion, CAPS conducts commissioned research to underpin original thought leadership and set the agenda.
Diving into new or unexplored areas, we have crafted and published original research in partnership with foundations, companies and multilateral agencies to drive conversations around topics such the motivations behind high-net-worth individual giving; ways to expand corporate philanthropy in ASEAN among other emerging topics.
Advisory
As a research-driven advisory organization, CAPS brings its expertise and insights from the ground to help individual donors, family offices, corporate foundations and other organizations to chart their course and meet their philanthropic and impact goals.
We work with individual donors, families, family offices, foundations and philanthropic organizations to support their giving strategies: from initially exploring their interests and focus; to setting private social investment vehicles; to achieving strategic alignment on their philanthropic goals. CAPS conducts bespoke research and provides advisory services to:
- Understand new or expanded investment and activities in a specific issue, giving modality or emerging areas of interest.
- Identify relevant best practices and benchmarking that can inform a new strategy or the establishment of a new organization
- Shape organizational and programmatic goals
- Develop impact-focused strategies and design of delivery programs and processes
- Foster alignment through incorporating stakeholder mapping, family or employee interviews, and facilitated group discussions to foster alignment

Convening & Capacity Building
CAPS regularly holds invitation-only philanthropy conferences with our donors, clients, philanthropists, global experts and thought leaders from Asia and beyond.
Our annual invite-only Philanthropy Conference is the only pan-Asian, principals-only philanthropy conference series in the region, providing a unique ground for business leaders, philanthropists and visionaries to share ideas, experiences and strategies for improving our communities and doing good.
CAPS is also committed to building an inclusive and efficient ecosystem of social sector communities across Asia, bringing together its partner organizations—including research leaders, social sector organizations and philanthropic sector leaders— to create a network where knowledge and insights are shared.
