Julianna Barcela is a Communications Associate at the Centre for Asian Philanthropy & Society (CAPS), where she supports the delivery of the organization’s communications strategy.
Before joining CAPS, Julianna worked at Operation Santa Claus, the fundraising initiative co-founded by the South China Morning Post (SCMP) and RTHK, where she supported communications, events and administrative operations. She was also a journalist at the SCMP, reporting on culture and social issues in Hong Kong.
Julianna holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism with a second major in politics & public administration from the University of Hong Kong, where she conducted research on international NGO relations for her capstone project.
