Dr. Ke Li’s passion for philanthropy led her to join CAPS as a Research Associate in 2023 upon obtaining her PhD degree in Public Policy. She now contributes to various research projects, with a primary focus on the flagship research Doing Good
Dr. Ke Li is a Research Associate at the Centre for Asian Philanthropy and Society (CAPS), where she contributes to various research projects, with a primary focus on CAPS’ flagship research the Doing Good Index and reports covering the Great China region.
During her doctoral studies at Macao Polytechnic University, Ke developed extensive knowledge about social governance and academic research; her government-commissioned research on the tourism industry was featured in the local journal. She has published in leading journals and spoken at conference proceedings on strategy management in the public sector and information management. She is also a member of the European Research Network on Philanthropy.
Dr. Li’s career began in the private and social sectors in Shanghai. She spearheaded an in-kind donation initiative at the Shanghai Payment and Clearing Association, engaging nearly 30 banks and payment institutions in Shanghai. As a project manager at the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, she oversaw donation projects from the university board members. Earlier at Netpring Social Enterprise, she played a key role in the Green IT Classroom project, leveraging company resources to support schools in rural China.
Dr. Ke Li holds a PhD in public policy from Macao Polytechnic University, as well as an MSc in quantitative economics and a BSc in financial engineering from Shanghai Normal University. She holds a CFA ESG Investing Certificate from the University of Hong Kong.
