Manisha Mirchandani

Executive Director

Manisha Mirchandani is Executive Director at the Centre for Asian Philanthropy and Society (CAPS), where she oversees research, convening, advisory and outreach activities. 

With over a decade of experience as a research and strategy leader, Manisha is experienced in shaping conversations and guiding decision-making for business and philanthropic leaders. 

As former Head of Research and Strategy at the Bloomberg Cities Insights Unit, her work informed investments in public-sector innovation and improving how local governments work. 

Drawing on her deep ties to Asia, Manisha previously served as Asia Research Director at FTI Consulting, where she led the business intelligence function. As an early employee and Project Director at the Centre for Asian Philanthropy and Society, she collaborated closely with the CEO to develop breakthrough research on Asian philanthropy, including the Doing Good Index which evaluates the environment for directing private capital to social good across 17 Asian economies. 

Her field experience includes a major UNDP study in Myanmar, where she conducted over 200 interviews with local leaders throughout the country. At The Economist Group, she produced high-level dialogues between business and government leaders across Asia-Pacific and delivered bespoke economic and geopolitical research for Fortune 500 companies, governments, and multilateral institutions through the Economist Intelligence Unit in Hong Kong and New York. 

Manisha holds an MSc in development management from the London School of Economics and an MFA in creative writing from the University of Hong Kong.
