Marianna Lemus Boskovitch

Senior Researcher

Marianna Lemus Boskovitch is a Senior Researcher at the Centre for Asian Philanthropy and Society (CAPS), where she leads and contributes to end-to-end research projects. Her work supports the development of practical recommendations for funders, philanthropists and policymakers across Asia. 

With 15 years of experience internationally across Europe, the United Kingdom and Hong Kong, Marianna has worked in the nonprofit, consultancy and academia sectors, helping organizations understand and improve their social impact. Her expertise is in mixed-methods research, social impact measurement, as well as in culture and the arts. She is a Social Return on Investment Practitioner accredited by Social Value UK.  

Before joining CAPS, Marianna led research and evaluation projects at BOP Consulting for clients including the UK Department for Culture, Media and Sport, the British Council, Bloomberg Philanthropies and the British Film Institute. Her earlier consultancy work at RSM Economic Consulting and Ipsos applied similar methods to government policy across economic, social and environmental issues. In the nonprofit sector, she established and led the first dedicated Evaluation Unit at Young Enterprise, the United Kingdom branch of the global JA Worldwide network. More recently, at Purpose Impact Action, she led monitoring, evaluation and learning initiatives for Hong Kong-based and wider Asia clients, and co-directed Hong Kong’s first benchmark survey on social impact measurement.  

Marianna holds an MSc in development economics from SOAS University of London, and a BSc (Hons) in economics and economic history from Queen Mary University of London. At City University of Hong Kong, she co-led the development of Hong Kong’s first Social Impact Measurement Index for cultural events.
