In the past ten years, wealth in China has increased dramatically and with it, philanthropic giving. According to the China Philanthropy Times , philanthropic donations of ¥1 million (US$154,560) or more amounted ¥27.63 billion (US$4.11 billion,) in 2018, up 50% from 2017.
